Copyright & ownership

Last updated 28 August 2026

The short version: your content is yours, your finished site is yours once the build is paid in full, and this marketing site is ours.

What you own

  • Everything you send us - your logo, photos, menus, copy and business information stay yours. You are simply giving us permission to use them to build and run your site.
  • Your domain, registered in your name. It transfers to you on request at any time.
  • Your finished site - the HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images produced for you - once the build has been paid in full. If you cancel, you keep the files.

What we own

This marketing site, the client portal, its design and its underlying code are ours, along with the Night Shift Web Development name and logo. Nothing here grants permission to copy them.

We keep the right to reuse general techniques, patterns and know-how developed while working for you. That never includes your content, your branding or anything confidential.

Showing your work

We may show your finished site in a portfolio or as a reference, using its name, a screenshot and a link. Tell us if you would rather we did not, and we will not.

Third-party material

Paid fonts, stock photos and plugins are licensed in your name and are your expense. We will tell you before anything with a licence cost is used. Where a site uses open-source components, their own licences apply and are honoured.

The typeface on this site is Bricolage Grotesque, used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

If you think something infringes

Email support@nightshiftweb.dev with the work you believe was copied, where it appears, and how to reach you. We investigate and remove infringing material promptly.

The same applies in reverse: do not send us material you do not have the right to use. You are responsible for what you supply.
